Main driving direction on track (de: Hauptfahrrichtung auf dem Gleis)
Description
In railML 2.x we have an attribute @mainDir that describes the preferred driving direction on that track. Possible values are "up", "down", "unknown" and "none" and they always refer to the track definition direction (trackBegin to trackEnd).
The question to be answered: Is the information relevant for any use case? Who uses @mainDir and for what?

Proposed solution for railML 2.4
If there is no need in storing information about some kind of "main driving direction" on the track, the attribute @mainDir may be marked being .DEPRECATED
Solution DEPRECATED
not implemented for railML 2.4, as no agreement is displayed in the community and needs of active railML users declared.
Maybe to be discussed for railML 2.5 again?
Proposed solution for railML 2.5
It was suggested to update the list of enumeration values for attribute @mainDir: remove entry "unknown" ("unknown" has the same meaning like a missing attribute @mainDir).
Proposed solution for railML 3.x
Depending on the feedback from community, the main direction on a track will be modelled or not with upcoming railML 3.x.
