Special track occupation / stablings (de: Sonderbelegung)

Description

It shall be possible to specify a special track occupation / stabling.

Background

SBB needs to excange information regarding occupation of tracks that is not actually associated with a particular train run. The main use cases for this is:

  • part of a train is split at a location and will remain there until it is joined to another train
  • the route of the train is not planned but the 'standing' times at a location are known - e.g. for a working train that is parked

Solution

As it is documented in the forum discussion the solution for allowing modelling of this was to alter the cardinality of blocks in rostering from 1..n to 0..n.
